I cant believe another week has already passed! Crazy!
This last week was really good!
We've been working a lot in a new area que se llama El Café. It´s about a 45 minute walk from our house, so we get pretty good exercise haha. There are TONS of people up there that are just crammed in houses that are SUPER close together and STACKED on top of each other. All the people are way humble and they´re way receptive. Also, there´s a Haitian village up there. Ha. It´s super cool. In this last week alone we found 9 new investigators, and there are TONS of prospective investigators! It´s an awesome area! The only problem is that it´s almost an hour away from our church by foot.... And 98% of the people can´t afford cars... So we´ll be relying on faith. :) Also, it´s expensive, and it´s a pain in the butt process to get married in this country, so most couples aren´t married... Ha. More faith. But I´m excited to see the people up there progress. We´ve already got 3 strong member families that live up there, and if we can baptize some more, the church is gonna organize a Branch out there!! Therefore, it´s on our shoulders! Ha. It should be good. :)
Also this week, I had my first "Transferly Interview" with the Mission President. Ha. We have the biggest zone in the mission, so we were there ALL DAY (literally from 8:30 am to 8 pm) waiting for our turn to be interviewed. But During our wait we had some good instrucción from Hermana Rodriguéz, and then she took our blood pressure and our weight. HA! I´ve lost 35 pounds since I left. Lol. NUTS!
Anyway, after hours of waiting, I finally got to be interviewed! Ha. It went really well! I really like my President, and you can tell just from talking to him for 20 minutes that he loves this work and he loves his missionaries. He´s a good man. I´m glad I get him for my whole mission.
In other news, I bought a blender today!!! ha. I´m super pumped to use it! We have a drawer full of mangos (a lady in our ward gives us a grocery bag full every time we pass by) in the bottom of our fridge just waiting to be liquefied into smoothies. Ha. I´m happy about it. :)
But I´m outta time!
I love you all!
This church is true!! Never lose the faith!
Love,
Elder Mooney
