Hey family!!!!!! -- Monday, October 7, 2013

Hey all!

My week was a good one! I really don't have much time to write a novel today cuz we spent the afternoon at an activity with Tamayo watching the Best Two Years and playing Dominoes! ha. Some day I'll teach you all how to play Dominican Dominoes. It's INTENSE! ha.

This week we had an intercambio with Enriquillo! I went with Elder Hiraldo and got to explore the beach front a little bit. :) It was awesome. :) See photos.

As for my conference report:
My favorite talk was definitely Elder Uchdorf's talk from the Saturday morning session! It was AWESOME! I loved when he said something along the lines of, "We're all hypocrites! If you're looking for a church with perfect members, look elsewhere. We're not perfect people, but Christ's doctrine IS perfect." Oh man! How true that is! I have no doubt this church is true! Satan likes to give us lots of reasons to doubt, but in all reality, it's pretty, darn-near impossible to deny the truthfulness of the Restoration and all that has come of it. God loves His children, and He communicates with us through living prophets. Nuff said.

Big news!! Carlos' divorce was finalized this week! So we have a wedding and baptism planned for next weekend!! Plus, Jonathan is turning 16 this week, so he'll be able to baptize them! ha. We had a lesson with him about the duties of a priest last night, and we related his advancing from teacher to priest to evolving... like a Pokemon... hahaha! It was hilarious. And he understood it all perfectly! lol. Yeah, it was nerdy, but Preach My Gospel says we should explain things in "their own language, with terms that they will understand." just like Alma the Younger did with King Lamoni. :) ha.

Then, after we finished our Pokemon talk, we had a Hutchinson style "what was your favorite conference talk" Family Home Evening with the whole family. :)

I hope you all know how much I love you. And how much I love being a missionary.

Love,
Elder Cade Mooney
